Join a high-performing Cardiovascular Surgery (CV Surgery) Operating Room team as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, perfusion, and perioperative staff across cardiac, thoracic, and vascular service lines./n /n /n Located in Lansing, MI, you’ll be based near the city’s vibrant downtown corridor with easy access to local restaurants, museums, and scenic parks and riverfront trails—ideal for recharging between shifts while working a rewarding travel nursing contract./n /n/nTravel Nursing Job Details/n /n - Job Title: Travel OR RN First Assist (RNFA) – CV Surgery / CVOR/n - Location: Lansing, MI 48912 (Michigan healthcare job)/n - Employment Type: Travel contract/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,440–$2,620/week/n - Start Date: 03/03/2026/n - End Date: 06/02/2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Schedule: Days, 4x10s (07:00–17:30)/n - Shift Duration: 10-hour days/n - Hours per Week: 40/n - Weekend Rotation: 1 weekend every 4 weeks/n - Call Requirements: 1 weekday night (Mon–Thu) every 4 weeks and 1 weekend of call per month/n - Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics/n - Typical Volume: 4–5 OR cases/day/n /n/nRNFA Job Requirements (CVOR / CV Surgery)/n /n - Experience: Acute hospital operating room experience as an RN First Assist (RNFA) required; 1 year preferred (first-time travelers welcome)/n - License: Active Michigan RN license by start date (compact license not accepted)/n - Certification: CRNFA (required)/n - Required Skills: endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting/n - EMR: Epic experience preferred (training provided during orientation)/n - Education: Ability to provide proof of high school-level education (required)/n /n/nKey Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing)/n /n - Provide RN First Assist support for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in the CVOR/n - Perform and support vessel harvesting techniques including endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting, as applicable/n - Maintain sterile technique, anticipate surgeon needs, and support efficient case flow from setup through closure/n - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary perioperative team to promote safe, high-quality intraoperative patient care/n - Participate in the assigned call rotation and respond to urgent/emergent surgical needs/n - Document intraoperative care per facility standards (Epic preferred)/n /n/n Apply now to learn more about this Travel RNFA CVOR contract in Lansing, MI (48912).
